Chelsea to reignite Josko Gvardiol pursuit
|Chelsea hoping to rekindle their interest RB Leipzig centre-back Josko Gvardiol following their failed attempts to sign him last summer.
The 21-year-old defender has become one of the most highly coveted centre-backs in Europe following his remarkable progress at the Red Bull Arena.
There are now reports that several top clubs, including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea, are interested in signing the Croatia international.
The Blues have reportedly been monitoring him since his time at Dinamo Zagreb, and his contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2027.
According to The Times, Chelsea must move quickly to secure Gvardiol’s services this summer, as a £97m release clause is set to come into effect in 2024.
