Barcelona enquire over availability of Anthony Martial

Barcelona have made an enquiry to Manchester United about Anthony Martial’s availability.

The 25-year-old has failed to live up to expectations for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring just one goal in nine appearances in all competitions.

Martial’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain, with the Frenchman believed to be considering a move away at the turn of the year.

According to Fichajes, the La Liga giants Barcelona have spoken to United about Martial, with the club expressing an interest in bringing him to Spain.

The 25-year-old has scored 79 goals and registered 50 assists in 267 appearances for Manchester United.

Barca are allegedly planning to sign at least one new striker in the mid-season transfer window amid suggestions that Sergio Aguero to retire due to his heart problems.
