Arsenal to sign Orlando City striker Facundo Torres?
Orlando City forward Facundo Torres has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal, according to the Evening Standard.
The Gunners continue to sit at the top of the Premier League standings after 12 matches, with the recent match coming on Sunday as the North Londoners thrashed Nottingham Forest.
The report claims that the North Londoners and Torres’ representatives are due to hold discussions ahead of possibly attempting to push through a deal at the midway point of the campaign.
The Uruguay international has just enjoyed a terrific campaign in the MLS, finding the back of the net on nine occasions in 34 appearances, in addition to contributing eight assists.
The 22-year-old has subsequently put himself in favourable position to represent Uruguay at the World Cup in Qatar. However, the youngster has not made appearances for his country since November.
Torres still has three years left on his contract at the Florida-based club.
