Arsenal Targets Man City Striker in January
|The Gunners are considering a €27m bid for Manchester City’s striker Edin Dzeko in January transfer window, according to The Mirror.
Arsenal are bit weak on the strike force, with Olivier Giroud remains the lonely striker for The Gunners.
The Manager, Arsene Wenger was reportedly linked with a move for Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez in summer but none of the deal have been made in the end.
Wenger is desperate to sign a striker in this January and the Bosnian international could be the best fit for The Gunners. But, Wenger could face a tough competition from top European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan as German giants Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in Dzeko to replace Robert Lewandowski. Likewise, Serie A giants Inter Milan have also shown an interest in the Bosnian.
The 27-year-old has only made 4 starts and scored three goals in this Premier League season. The striker has admitted he is unsure of his future under Manuel Pellegrini.
“I need to play more than I am. I’ve only started four games in the Premier League. But if you put me in there for 90 minutes, everything is possible,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“For three games in the Premier League I didn’t play at all. That never happened last season. I didn’t go three games without any minutes.
“There’s Champions League and Capital One Cup also, but that’s not enough for me.
