Arsenal considering January transfer bid for West Ham starlet
|West Ham United youngster Declan Rice has reportedly emerged as a January target for Arsenal.
According to The Sun, the Gunners are considering a January move for Declan Rice from West Ham United in a bid to bolster the squad with some youth into their ageing back-line.
The teenage centre-back, who is highly regarded in East London, came to limelight after impressing during the Hammers’ pre-season tour of Austria in the summer.
Rice’s superb performances for the Hammers’ academy has caught Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s attention. With both Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are into there 30’s, and it is no surprise that centre-back is an area where the north Londoners will be looking to bolster over the next year or so.
The promising teenager still has three years left on his current deal at the East London outfit and will certainly be in no rush to move anywhere else.
