Barcelona interested in signing Tomas Soucek
Barcelona have reportedly placed emphasis on signing West Ham United hero Tomas Soucek during this summer’s transfer window.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Hammers, finding the back of the net on eight occasions in 26 Premier League matches.
The Czech Republic international only joined the East London outfit on a permanent deal from Slavia Prague last summer and has a contract at the London Stadium until 2024.
However, according to TodoFichajes, the Catalan giants are keen on bringing Soucek to Camp Nou, having been impressed by his performances since joining West Ham.
The report adds that Barca could potentially include either Miralem Pjanic or Martin Braithwaite in a move as the club are struggling with the financial implications due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also said to be keen on the versatile midfielder.
