Swansea City manager Garry Monk has won the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award for August.
The Swans have made a stunning 100% start to the season with three wins – including a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford and at home to Burnley and West Brom so far this season.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, Aston Villa’s Paul Lambert and Stoke City manager Mark Hughes were also been shortlisted for the award.
The 35-year-old was named Swansea manager back in February following the departure of Michael Laudrup.
“It’s an honour and privilege, but it’s very much a collective – it’s not about individuals,” said Monk.
“For me, it’s about the players, myself, the staff around me day-to-day and the staff in the office working hard. This is who I dedicate the award to.”
The Welsh club are currently sit second in the league table with nine points same as leaders Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Chelsea striker Diego Costa has won the player of the month award with four goals in three league starts.
Swansea will take Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow (3pm) BST.
