Ronaldo paid tribute to Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard

Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a video message to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard via Liverpool’s official website.

The Portuguese striker posts a farewell message for the outgoing Liverpool captain, insisting it was a “pleasure” to play with the midfielder.

Ronaldo, 30, wished Gerrard a good luck as he is set to join the MLS side LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

The Ballon d’Or holder says- “Hello Steve, just to say it was a pleasure to play with you for many years when I played for Manchester United against Liverpool”.

He adds, “You are a fantastic player. I wish you all the best for your career and for your life.”

Gerrard, 34, who made over 700 appearances in his 27-year affiliation with the Reds, will play his last game for the Merseyside club against Stoke this Sunday.
