Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly considering to offer Dele Alli a new contract in an attempt to fend off interest from Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old, who is comfortably Spurs’ pivotal attacking midfielder, scoring 16 times and providing seven assists in 31 Premier League appearances this campaign so far.
The Mirror reports that the England international is considered such an important player for Spurs that they are offering him a new deal to put him among the club’s highest earners.
The report adds that Alli’s new deal would extend his stay at White Hart Lane to at least 2023 and guarantee him a minimum £40m in that time.
Alli joined Spurs in 2015 and is said to be on the radar of the Spanish champions Barcelona.
