Report: Liverpool consider Thomas Lemar bid before deadline

Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Thomas Lemar from the Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco before the Thursday’s 23:00 BST deadline, according to The Daily Mail.

The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is “keen on” to complete a deal to sign the 21-year-old Frenchman, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal throughout the summer.

The report says that the Merseyside giants have tabled a proposal worth £74million including Divock Origi as part of the transfer.

It appears that Klopp’s side are prepared to “break” their transfer record once again, after having tied up a £55million deal to secure Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.

Liverpool are said to be on the hunt for a number of signings before the transfer window shuts down, with the club having so far secured the signature of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke this summer.
