The French giants Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly turned down Barcelona’s opening bid for Brazil attacker Neymar.
With rumours surrounding Neymar’s future continues to gather pace, with Spanish duo Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be competing with each other to sign him before the end of the European transfer window.
According to Marca, Barca have made an offer to the Parisians which would have seen the 27-year-old join on loan this month with the view to a €150m permanent transfer next summer.
However, the report suggests that Thomas Tuchel’s side rejected the bid as they would want a figure somewhere around €250m in any potential loan deal.
Neymar has scored 51 goals in 58 appearances for PSG in all competitions. However, the Brazil international has not represented the Ligue 1 champions in the early stages of the new season amid rumours surrounding his future.
