Napoli manager Rafa Benitez is considering options to make a stronger defense in January transfer window and have targeted two defenders – Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger from Liverpool, according to CorrieredelloSport.
Benitez has already signed Liverpool goal keeper Pepe Reina on loan, and now he is looking forward to replacement of the 32-year-old defender Paolo Cannavaro as per the report.
The Slovakian footballer, Skrtel’s future uncertain at Anfield as the 28-year-old struggled to secure a first-place under manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Danish international, Daniel Agger was also been targeted by La Liga giant Barcelona in the summer but The Reds had rejected the offer from the Catalan club.
However these might be the speculations, according to the reports. Liverpool, currently are in second position in the Premier League and it has been expected that Brendan Rodgers would certainly be renew the services of Skrtel and Agger for the entire campaign.
