Man United want to sign Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old midfielder has established himself as one of the greatest holding attackers in Europe.

According to Scottish Daily Record, the French outfit were not willing to let Bakayoko leave half way through the season. However, Monaco are willing to sanction the sale of the attacker.

United boss Jose Mourinho has identified the Frenchman as the player he needs at the centre of the field as he continues to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.

The Red Devils are not the only Premier League club interested in signing Bakayoko, local rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are also in the race for the player’s signature.

AS Monaco value Bakayoko £21.5m, who has helped his club sit second in the Ligue 1 table.
