Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, according to the Daily Star.
The Red Devils have been constantly linked with a move for Everton’s superstar Romelu Lukaku in recent weeks, but the recent report claims that United want to launch a double raid on Goodison Park including the England midfielder.
The 20-time English champions will table a £45 million bid for the 22-year-old with a view to agreeing contract before the Euro championship in June.
Manchester United and Everton will go head-to-head in the Premier League encounter on Sunday when Roberto Martinez’s side make a trip to Old Trafford.
Barkley has scored eight league goals this season, playing a crucial role in the Toffees’s midfield.
