Liverpool have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old goalkeeper Lee Nicholls in action, according to The Mirror.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is planning January bid for Wigan’s Goalkeeper as a backup option to Simon Mignolet.
Rodgers, who is looking for a reliable backup options as a long-term, who will be good as Mignolet at between the sticks.
However, Nicholls already committed himself to The Latics and wanted to pursue his first team appearances under Owen Coyle’s side. He has played for nine times in this season following earlier loan spells with five different clubs.
It has been reported that there will be a new appointment of manager for the Wigan’s and Liverpool could raise the bid if they desperate enough to bring him as potential cover for Simon Mignolet.
