Liverpool target january move for City Striker

According to the Metro, Liverpool could target a surprise bid for striker John Guidetti from rivals Manchester City.

The 21-year-old youngster has made only one appearance for The Sky Blues since joining in 2008.

The Swedish international notched 20 goals with 8 assists during the 2011/12 season at Dutch side Feyenoord on loan.

With the likes of Alvaro Negredo, Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic all currently struggling for the two striker place in the team, Due to injuries, Guidetti faces an almost impossible task of breaking into starting lineup for Manuel Pellegrini side, and he would be likely to leave this January.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers keen to continue to develop a young side in this season so far, and it has been expected that The Anfield side target January move for City youngster.
