Leicester City enter the race to sign 26-year-old forward

Leicester City have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Nottingham Forest attacker Joe Lolley, according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old forward scored one and set up four more in the club’s 5-5 draw with Aston Villa last weekend.

Forest now face a fight keeping hold of the player, who has been touted as a transfer target for Cardiff City, Watford and Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion.

The aforementioned report claim that Premier League outfit Leicester City could follow up their interest with a concrete offer in the new year, having already done business into the Championship market in to sign James Maddison from Norwich City.

Nottingham Forest acknowledge that they might lose one of their prized assets, the report adds, but they will try to keep him at the City Ground until the end of the season.
