The Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid superstar Fernando Torres in January transfer window, according to Takvim.
Galatasaray’s interest in the 31-year-old forward has been revealed today in the Turkish press, as the club’s manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu is unhappy with the summer transfers and look for a world-class striker to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens in January.
Torres could follow the footsteps of Lukas Podolski, who joined the Super Lig champions from Arsenal on 4 July 2015 for an initial fee of £1.8 million.
Galatasaray, nicknamed as ‘Cim-Bom’ are currently struggling in the Turkish Super Lig, having secured only four points from their opening three games, and three points behind league leaders Fenerbahce.
Torres is currently serving his season-long loan spell with the La Liga giants Atletico from Italian club AC Milan.
