Branislav Ivanovic to get new lucrative contract at Chelsea

Chelsea are reportedly planning to offer a bumper contract to their versatile defender Branislav Ivanovic, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Serbian is all set to get rewarded with a new four-and-a-half-year contract at Chelsea.

Ivanovic joined the Blues in 2008 from Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow, with still two years left on his current deal.

It is understood, top European clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid were keen to sign the 30-year-old right-back in last summer, but Ivanovic is keen to remain with the club where he has become one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted players at Stamford Bridge.

Being first choice defender at the club, Ivanovic performance has been outstanding this season has managed 37 starts in all competition for the Blues.
