Arsenal eye goalkeeper Brad Guzan for January move

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has shown his interest to sign in-form Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan in the January transfer window.

Wenger was in rumours during the summer to linked with a big-name including the likes of Iker Casillas, Victor Valdes and Jose Manuel Reina, as well as Hamburg’s Rene Adler.

On transfer deadline, Wenger sign Emiliano Viviano on loan from Serie A outfit Palermo to provide backup.

Wenger is looking forward to push ahead with plans to sign a new experienced goalkeeper in january and Guzan as his top priority.

With his impressive performances, The 29-year-old has been the key player so far for The Villans in the season.

The USA international, who joined Villa in July 2008 from Major League Soccer outfit Chivas USA.

The Arsenal manager is set to offer Guzan the opportunity for both this season’s Premier League title and Champions League as well, Wenger is confident of being able to persuade him to Emirates Stadium.
