Arsenal eye Bayern Munich’s Rafinha

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha in this summer’s transfer window, according to Sport Bild.

The Brazil international, whose current deal at the Allianz Arena will expire in June 2017 and it is believed that the Bundesliga giants are prepared to sell the defender at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old is one of those candidates who are expected to leave the Allianz Arena and his representatives have been made aware that the Gunners have offered him a three-year contract on the table in a bid to bring the player to the English Premier League.

Having made 21 starts for the Bavarians in all competitions so far this season, the South American joined the German champions from Genoa in 2011 and has won a plethora of honours with Bayern – including three league titles and the Champions League silverware.

Rafinha is set to turn 31 in September, it is unlikely that the north Londoners would have to pay a lucrative deal to land him at the Emirates.
